There should be many centers protected with current and accurate information to safeguard humanity’s primary purpose: continuing, improving, and coexisting with primal natural beings, including nomadic humans, as well as technological humans who move at a fast tempo, well beyond the expectations of most people. Creation seems to be moving at warp speed in some areas.

Other areas of the world remain calm because they may provide another alternative for humanity to continue advancing if the most technologically advanced groups, such as those involved in rocketry or powerful weapons, create a devastating error and humans have to start over again from whatever remains. Such an error might involve, for example, the creation and storage of nuclear bombs that no one wants ever to detonate. It is possible that Nature will provide a way for our species to carry on. Nature reveals how city people, rural people, village communities, remote landowners, nomadic peoples, and other kinds of people adapt in order to continue.

I also wonder about the human-made satellites and debris surrounding Earth. Could their increasing presence affect Earth’s gravitational field, her orbit, her relationship with the Sun and Moon, or the established patterns of the other planets? Could human activity ever disturb the balanced system in which Earth travels through space?

The more types of lifestyles that can exist, the more reassurance we have that some people might survive the destructive methods of others. The greater the variety of ways people live, the greater the possibility that humanity can continue.

As wonderful as artificial intelligence can be – giving us access to some of the most logical, advanced, and useful information humanity has gathered – I worry that this information may still be vulnerable. City residents, rural communities, villagers, remote landowners, nomadic peoples, scientists, craftspeople, farmers, and technologically advanced societies all preserve different kinds of knowledge.

It is possible that Nature will provide ways for some people, communities, and forms of life to adapt after disruption, although Nature does not guarantee that any particular society – or even humanity itself – will survive. Biological and cultural diversity nevertheless give humanity more possible paths of adaptation. Perhaps our best protection is not one universal system, but many interconnected – and partly independent – ways of living, learning, remembering, and carrying life forward.
