Reacted to a Headline.
A Headline in the September 11th, 2025, Issue of OPB.Org, by Bryce Dole and Kathryn Styer Martinez, reported that the Trump Administration ended its Federal funding for disability programs in Oregon. The article mentions programs for the deaf and blind citizens. Who and why do we elect people to participate in government if not to care for our citizens? To provide exceptional education and improve the world around us should be our human species’ agenda, and those in government should help provide routes and alternative routes for the nation to move in the right direction, rather than fall backwards. We should prioritize practices like organic farming, carpentry, creativity, and naturopathy in our general education. How to continue existence is especially important if the government reduces our capacity as a nation, as our people need to know how to survive and build. What do our champions of humanity say – you know, the people who originally designed the programs for the challenged in hearing and eyesight? What about the other programs for veterans and quadriplegics? Some of the programs for Veterans have improved. One can surmise that all of those people who provided action and influenced others to care for the challenged ones were superior in ability and spirit to the average person who thinks about it, but does not have a solution, but will donate so that others can spend the time to get the work done. The awful thing is when other people in government come along in a new administration and say they are going to dismantle those programs, they create problems for those challenged individuals. We have individuals who will speak out against that course of action on behalf of those who disagree with the agenda of dismantling programs and will raise awareness. Do we have another group of people who can help the 4000 affected families? In what capacity did they receive federal funding, and is there an emergency contingency plan to put in place until we have a better solution?
Is there a business we can create to earn (a random number),
$200 million per year, running programs for individuals with challenged abilities? Meanwhile, other defunded Federal programs require attention and contingency plans in public health and education. Are there wealthy, successful geniuses with monetizing business ideas that they are not interested in implementing themselves, willing and able to share their ideas with communities with limited resources to enhance self-care and governance? What percentage of the budget for public broadcasting organizations is supported by federal funding? Can the organization sustain itself on a different budget by monetizing its content on YouTube Media? What can people do? Open accounting and the running of Public organizations should be available so that concerned people might provide solutions.
