Civic-Artist-Sphere

Two people were carrying a heavy old chest up the steps of the porch of a house. People need occasional help. Have you ever tried to move a piece of furniture that was so heavy you needed to ask for help? Sometimes, the heavy item is more of an idea, a concern, rather than an object.

Is the idea to help the children who have been separated from their parents, get art supplies to write, draw, and keep a daily journal of their experiences of being alone with other separated children, possible?

They are in kennel type structures made of chain link material at the border facilities at the border between the United States and Mexico. We expect our government to do something intelligent and nurturing to mend that horrible mistake. While we watch and wait, can we help those who are suffering? This process might produce useful documentation for the children in their future when they try to have a better understanding of the challenges they face right now. It might be helpful for them to remember their lives with their parents should the possibility to reunite the families exist for them.

How can we help soothe their sorrows and fears? What kind of hope can we offer them?

A kind thought can make social progress. Something is in the air, an awareness that many people are feeling particularly creative and interested in civics these days. It is almost like an entire sphere, a
civic-artist-sphere, like atmosphere and stratosphere, of presenting aggressive and straightforward kindness to be a better species to each other. I picked up the smart television remote and switched on the news and caught the last bit of the newscaster (missed who it was that moment), displaying a comic book cover of one of our new freshmen representatives in our U.S. Congress, flying through the air, just above the crowd, just like a super hero. I was grateful that so many of us feel positive about active kindness and appreciation by way of civic-artist-sphere.

A few days have passed since I wrote this particular draft. When I researched another topic, I happened to find this interview on Today.com with the artists creating, animating, and voice acting-voicing the superheroes of their program. It is a wonderful and educational interview.

I appreciate this inspirational video and excellent example of artists collaborating. What do you think? If you would like to share the link, here it is: https://www.today.com/video/netfilx-s-she-ra-reboot-looks-to%20empower-a-new-generation-of-kids-1453365315719

*(When I revisited this link in 2023, it was no longer readily available. The Today NBC Universal website said to sign up to save this video. Should I leave the link or delete it? I feel that the visual of the behind-the-scenes voice acting is helpful to aspiring voice actors. I’ll have to sign up and see if the link still exists.)
